Frequently asked questions

Do I need a licence to rent a boat?

It depends on the boat and the route. You can rent without a licence if you hire a professional skipper. If you want to sail the boat yourself, you will need a valid boating licence, and in some areas a marine radio certificate is also required.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes. A refundable deposit is usually held at check-in and released once the boat is returned on time and without damage. Ordinary wear and tear is never charged.

What is included and what costs extra?

The rental includes the boat and its standard equipment. Fuel, end-of-rental cleaning and any optional extras are normally settled separately; we confirm exactly what applies to your booking before you pay.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first. If conditions make the trip unsafe, we look for another departure time or route, and if that is not possible we apply the rescheduling or refund terms in your agreement.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Each booking has its own cancellation terms, shown before you confirm, and the refund depends on how far in advance you cancel.

What should I bring on board?

Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and soft-soled shoes. Bring soft luggage rather than hard cases, and don't forget your ID and, where applicable, your boating licence.

Conditions are indicative for this demo. Please check the final terms in your rental agreement.

The experience

The coast is better from the water

Meet at the marina, get a short safety briefing and set off. We plan the route around the weather and what you feel like doing: quiet coves, a swim in open water or lunch anchored in a sheltered bay. Our team hands over the boat, explains everything you need and stays reachable during your time on the water.
